This is the continuing tale of Emileeza Ulandra-Ingeir.

Emileeza was born in a small farming community outside of Grewhawk City on the planet Oerth. Her natural father died early in her childhood and she hardly had any memory of him. Her mother remarried a man that marked the family as outcasts in the community, due to racial prejudices. Emileeza’s new step-father was a drow elf...with skin as black as pitch and hair a stark white. Emil never really thought of her step-father as different though; to her he had always been her father. He was a great lover of Nature..one of the reasons he left his homeland years before…and gave that love of Nature to young Emileeza. He taught her how Spring brings new life in plants and animals, just as Winter brings death,..how the violent storms create new nesting sites for animals even though other animals may have perished,…most of all he taught her that above all there must be a balance. That was a lesson she kept in her heart as she grew.

One day, she decided it was time for her to study more,..to visit the Druids that she had seen at Harvest celebrations and see what could be learned from them. She studied with the Druids there for a few years showing true talent with the plants and animals and strong faith in the power of Nature. They taught her of the Nature god Obad-Hai, and how his teachings affect all living things. In time Emil became a Druid in her own right. She stayed at the grove for a while, but felt compelled to seek her own grove in a new area and to see as much of the beautiful land Obad-Hai had blessed them with as she could.

She set out one day with nothing more than a backpack with a few supplies, her quarterstaff, and her faith. She traveled away from the city into the wilderness. She had not travelled but a few days when she met up with a trio of ragged adventurers. They were in need of healing, so she got them to a quiet secluded glade and called upon the power of Obad-Hai. Her power to heal them was not great at her young age,..but she had done enough to make them very grateful. They introduced themselves as Lazarus -- a mage, Nika -- a lockpick and acrobat, and Angus -- a warrior. They told her of their recent outing into abandoned ruins, and how they had lost their good friend and cleric, Simon, when they had run into ghouls and were outnumbered. The three survivors saw Simon go down and get ripped apart by the terrible creatures. They all retreated then, mourning the loss of a great friend. Emil could tell they were all still hurting deeply from this loss, and that they were still in need of more physical healing.

"Please stay here in this glade tonight. We can all get some sleep and replenish our energies, and on the morrow I may be able to heal you all a bit more, with the power of Obad-Hai." With that they settled into more relaxed conversation, as they asked her about Obad-Hai and her faith. She asked them of the lands they had seen ion their travels. She was especially taken with Angus, the warrior. He had been quiet at first, obviously full of inner turmoil at seeing his friend die, and not being able to help him. But as they set up camp and prepared dinner, he became a bit more talkative and friendly. Emil was quite taken with his features, he was human, but had a dark tan and black hair. That was uncommon in her village, where most people had fair skin and light hair, even red like her own. The most striking feature were his bright blue eyes. She blushed inwardly at such a reaction to someone she barely knew, but she was certain she did not want to say good-bye when the sun arose in the morning.

The next day brought sunshine and warmer spring temperatures, and Emil felt it to be a sign of the beginning of an important part of her journeys. She healed them all more, almost until they had nothing left but a few scars and bad memories. The three companions whispered among themselves as Emil was putting away her cooking gear. Angus approached her and bowed with a flourish as he asked her to join them permanently, or at least until she felt the need to explore more of the world on her own. Emil smiled warmly at Angus and accepted the offer with a courtly curtsey. They all chuckled and welcomed her into the group and vowed to protect her as best they could, since she was such a young Druid and had not experienced much battle at all. Angus' eyes grew dark at that, and Emil knew he felt he had not fulfilled the vow to Simon. She hoped she would be able to help him get over that pain.

The four companions got to know each other very well as they traveled together. Emil learned that Lazarus had studied at the College of Wizardry in Greyhawk City for a couple of years before feeling the urge to see more of the world than what was inside the walls of the city. He had met up with Nika not long after, in a tavern in a little village not too far from Greyhawk. Nika had been orphaned as a teenager in Greyhawk City, and had barely snatched enough to live on from cutting a few purse strings. She knew that whatever lurked outside the walls could not be as bad as what she would become if she stayed in the City.

Traveling from village to village was not very dangerous since they were close to the City. Most humanoids were run out and kept out by the village guards and militiamen, usually commanded by a Sergeant from the City Guards. Though the militia hardly ever had to worry about much more than a stray orc now and then,..and perhaps caravan raiders. It was in one of these villages that Nika and Lazarus met Angus. He had been in the militia party that had disguised themselves as caravan members when raiders were known to be in the area. The trick had worked, and the raiders haqd been captured without too much bloodshed. He introduced them to Simon, a young cleric of Pelor. Simon and Angus had been friends for years and had discussed setting out to seek adventure together many times. They both decided that teaming up with Lazarus and Nika sounded like a good idea. The four had then traveled together for nearly two years.

Emil felt very honored to be welcomed into such a tight-knit group, and hoped she would be able to help them when they needed it. She felt the power of Obad-Hai very strongly though, and knew this was the right path to take.

The four companions traveled together for three years. In this time, Emil grew more powerful as a druid. She felt less and less at ease in each city they came across. She longed to be in the wilderness. To be amongst the flowers and trees and animals of her home. She and Angus had become fast friends, and their frindship had grown into love. However, they followed different paths in life, and Emil knew far too well that choosing the wrong path would cause one unhappiness later in life. So, rather than follow Angus just to be with him, she chose to bid farewell to her friends and go back to her grove in the woods. They wanted to travel with her back to her home, but she would not hear of it.

"One must follow thine own path, and never turn back from it. Ye must stay on thine, and I must follow mine back home," she said. "Ye will always be in my heart," said Emileeza as she hugged them each one last time and gave Angus one last kiss. She turned and walked away with a proud step in her stride. As soon as she was beyond site of her friends, she began to cry softly.

She had traveled for several days without much problem. She felt safe in the forest, as if she knew the animals would not harm her, and would perhaps even protect her. She began to feel her confidence returning. She had thought about turning back the first night alone, but had stayed strong in her faith and reassured herself she had made the right decision. Now she was very glad she had remained strong, for she would be home soon, and would be able to establish her own grove and worship Obad-Hai.

She was smiling to herself and started to quicken her pace a bit when she stopped. The forest had become quiet. She knew there was another stranger in the woods, nearby. She deftly climbed a nearby tree and blended into her surroundings, watching. She did not have to wait long, for coming down another path was the reason for the absence of sound in the woods. The figure was cloaked in a heavy black hooded cloak, strange enough for the season of the year. But Emil then figured out what else was so odd about the figure; she could see hands holding the cloak securely around itself, but the hands were the same shade of black as the cloak. "A Drow" she whispered. The figure stopped, and Emil held her breath. A few seconds that seemed an eternity to Emil passed before the figure resumed its walking, now turning onto the path Emil was following and heading in the same direction. Emil thought to herself, "There is only one more village on this path before we reach the mountains,..my village. I know most Drow are vile, evil creatures, but my father is proof they are not all that way. I must discover what this lone Drow is doing in my woods."

She carefully and silently climbed down from the tree. The elf's trail was easy to follow, and Emil tracked it for a mile or so until she came close enough to observe the stranger. She said a silent prayer request to Obad-Hai and felt his power course through her. She opened her eyes and looked upon the aura surrounding the figure. Truly expecting to see a black ominous cloud around it, she was surprised to see a milky white aura surrounding the figure. Emil felt much more confident at this and made her presence known.

"What business do ye have in these woods?" she said, still hiding behind a tree. The figure stopped, and Emil could see that it had thrown open its cloak from the front. She stared curiously, and the figure turned to face the voice. She was striking! A beautiful Drow female dressed all in chainmail, seemingly elven make, stood on Emil's path and drew a deadly looking long sword. Now that the hood had been thrown back, Emil could see the elf's face clearly. Her skin was as dark as night, but her pupils were a brilliant violet. Her sharply pointed face was framed in beautiful stark white hair that was just long enough to give her a feminine look despite all the armour, but was not so long as to interfere with weapon use. Emil was immediately impressed. "I mean ye no harm, I simply ask thy business", she shouted from her tree again.

The Drow looked right at the spot from which the voice had come, and started walking toward it. "Show thyself!" the drow commanded in the thick accent that reminded Emil of her father. Emil stepped out of the bushes with arms held up in a signal of truce.

"Ye are heading toward my village, and I ask what be thy business there.", said Emil.

The Drow, never lowering her weapon an inch answered, "Not that it be thy concern, but I seek me father. I am told he lives in yon village. Perhaps ye know him, his name is Disslizarius U Landra."
Emileeza felt her jaw drop.
It was at that moment that Emileeza realized she had a sister. After making sure that they were both speaking of the same man, they agreed, they must indeed then be step sisters. The woman's name was Amelia U Landra.
Amelia and Emil became quite close as they grew to know each other, and became true sisters in their hearts.
After many years working with the druids in the groves near her parents home, Emil decided to go and start her own grove. She traveled to the northern forests and finally found a beautiful area near a stream where the sunlight filtered through the trees magnificently and the sound of birdsong and anmals made the grove seem alive. Indeed even the trees seemed to move with the song of the animals. She named the place Grove of the Dancing Trees. She grew older and more knowledgeable in the ways of Obad-Hai and soon area villagers were coming to her for blessings on their crops and even for services to worship the Nature deity. Due to her faith and strong will, she seemed to stop aging however and soon her mother and all other human relatives nearby were passed away. This drew her even closer to her step father and sister who had hardly changed at all due to the nature of elves' long lives. She often visited her father who was heartbroken from seeing his wife grow old and die. His sorrow made Emil glad she had never married. To feel a loss so deep must affect one to the core. And so Emil remained a maid for many years and tended to the Grove of the Dancing Trees.
One day, Amelia offered to take her sister to a new place,..one far from her home where she could see new things and meet the most interesting people. Emileeza was not interested at first, being content in her forest with her animal friends, but eventually gave in to her persuasive sister.
In this new place was a marketplace known as the Emporium. She was more shy than she thought she would be after Amelia had to leave suddenly to take care of a problem in her own home. Emil decided to stay and explore this new place. She met two stranger on her first night in the place, a snake creature who called himself Quazi and a handsome gentleman with a beautiful silver beard and pointed ears. The gentleman introduced himself with a graceful bow as TuracEndeem. Emil was immediately taken with this man. She felt silly for having such ridiculous feelings, but she continued to return to the Emporium to see if the half elf returned. Soon they were courting and he would present her with roses and conjure glasses of the finest feywine.

One night, he decided to reveal a secret to Emil. He took her to a clearing in the forest outside of the marketplace walls and as she watched, his form shifted and shimmered til she could no longer make out his form, but instead saw the shape of an immense silver dragon. The dragon lowered his head and looked Emil in the eyes. She knew then that it was indeed Turac. She felt faint and swayed, but as she began to fall Turac was again in his half elven form and there to catch her in his arms. He professed his love for her then and she returned the feelings. Soon he took her to his lair which he shared with his friend and blood-brother a gold dragon also in the service of the draconic god, Io.

Within a few weeks, Turac gave Emil a beautiful platinum, sapphire and diamond ring and asked for her hand in marriage. They were married in the Grove with their friend Quazi presiding. At the wedding, they both took the name Ingeir which means beloved. Within a year Emil gave birth to twins- a boy and a girl. They were certainly the children of a dragon. The boy had his mother's flaming red hair but silver skin and wing buds which grew in within his first two years. The girl also had her father's silver skin and even scales down her back ending in a long draconic, prehensile tail. Emileeza loved the children dearly and raised them with Turac to use the best of their abilities and to honor both Obad-Hai and Io. A few years later, they had another child, a daughter, Amarynth. This child was different though. She showed no outward signs of her draconic heritage at first. She looked quite like a half elf with a darker version of her mother's red hair.

However when the girl was a teenager, she had quite the temper and her eyes would flash a bright amber like her father's. Turac took her out to the forest clearing one day and began to test her in different physical abilities such as endurance, speed, ability to jump etc. These tests went on for weeks. She had been raised almost soley by her mother since Turac had been away on missions for Io so frequently. In fact the girl was becoming quite the little druid. During the tests, Turac pushed her as far as he felt she could go. It hurt him to see her get so mad at him for making her do these things, but he could feel something within her which needed to get out and felt it safer to have her unleash it upon him than anyone else. On one particular day, when telling her to run faster around the track he had created in a clearing, she was getting madder and madder at him. To her it was a waste of time, and she wanted to get back to her studies with her mother. She decided to tell her father off and go back home. Turac held her arm and refused to let her go. All her frustrations finally mounted up in sheer hatred for her father and she opened her moth to scream at him, but instead a blast of frigid air and ice was suddenly coming from her jaws and covering her father in frost and ice. She stood back and faltered, falling to the ground to sit and stare at her father in disbelief. She worried for a moment that she had actually killed him when he didn't move at first, but stood there covered in ice. But before she could move to check on him, he shifted to that of his huge draconic form and shattered the layer of ice upon his smaller self. She was immediately frightened at what he may do in retaliation, and was extremely surprised to see the immense dragon actually laughing. She couldn't remember ever seeing him laugh before and could not help but join him in her own nervous laughter.

"Very good!" his voice boomed. Amarynth nearly fainted from the shock. She had always considered herself an oddball in the family since she had no real draconic nature. She felt even closer to her mother because of it however. Now, she could feel the power within her as she stood there looking at the gorgeous silver beast that was her sire. She felt the stirrings in her blood and felt herself give into them. Turac sat there looking at his tiny daughter curiously as her own form shimmered and changed until she was a miniature version of himself.

Turac threw back his head and roared mightily and Amarynth followed suit. Their terrifying voices caused the entire forest to cease all sounds and Emil back at the family cabin wondered what that odd noise along with her husband's roar was. When Emileeza arrived at the clearing to see what was going on, she found there Turac in his half elven form once again and a silver dragon standing next to him. She caught her breath and ran to the dragon. Amarynth lowered her head and allowed her mother to hug her neck. After some discussion with Turac, Emil was shown the talents Amarynth had. The girl soon turned back into her normal form. Her father told her he knew of no other half dragon who had shown that special ability. She outwardly showed no sign of the draconic heritage, but it was she that had the most powerful ability. She continued to train with Emil in the grove, but also with her father. He taught her how to fly and maneuver and hover. He showed her many things a dragon would normally teach their young and Amarynth's hatred for her father soon turned into fierce love and loyalty. She also surprised them with not only being able to use the power of Obad-Hai but also the sorcerous abilities of Io's children.

So now, Emileeza is matriarch of a family of half dragons in the service of both Obad-Hai and Io.
